Black Screen After Login
I only implemented this suggestion about 30 minutes ago, but I've restarted my machine multiple times so I'm pretty sure this is a solid fix action. For me the Blu-Ray disc is the x-factor. does seem to be caused by Windows updates (.net framework 4.5.1 updates), but cannot seem to uninstall them (only have access in safe mode, but get errors trying to uninstall).
