I just installed 8.1 on my Samsung Series 7 Chronos laptop and it's now unusable. At the black screen I can see the cursor and the black screen which flickers between really black and a bit less black :S.

Pressing and holding F8 when rebooting doesn't get safe mode to show up either.(It doesn't show up in the troubleshoot menu but for one time for some reason it did and So the steps I supplied are what I did to fix the issue.
