Anyway, i've updated the driver as you had suggested and we'll see how things go. after a restart it wont connect to internet unless I unplug and replug the usb adapter. Security software's drivers works very close with the Windows kernel and it can cause unpredictable behavior. I didn't know about Event Viewer so, if nothing else works, this thread has been great because I just learned something new.
