Following this I used Window's 10's 'Reset this PC' which basically uninstalled everything while leaving my docs and files untouched. You might also consider that the hardware you are installing is no longer functional. it must have been some hard drive problem, I just successfully installed The Longest Journey at 20% HDD space left (123 GB). :D Yayy!
