I started the process of installing the new OS, and everything went smoothly until the "expanding files" phase. This worked on my problem where I did an install of Windows 7 Pro on a 64 bit workstation with Windows 7 Pro 32 bit install disk. Sign in 649 206 Don't like this video? I have only this hdd on my system and I've formatted it during the installation of Vista (it requires ntfs) . I post it because i want to share this trouble shooting that i found by chance and save a lot of people the trouble and time to fix this problem.I have Save and exit2. Loading...
I would shut down and unplug the xp drive. The optic drive passed the test that the motherboard does. I selected it to boot from DVD drive in the boot menu and after the black screen which says "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD" it just says But in Startup Repair it finds th windows Vista on my Hd "C:".

Start your computer and go to BIOS setup. I don't know what the symptoms of a failing motherboard are. I took the RAM out already anyway though. this contact form I will return when I have tested the disk.
