Many thanks for your assistance! No more BSOD with the bad pool error message. More specifically, it appears to be the antivirus component, since this morning I onlydisabledtheantivirus but left the firewall running, and I haven't had any issues yet. After a couple of months of trying different solutions, testing my RAM, installing drivers, flashing BIOS etc.
