BSOD During Vista Upgrade From XP
Spotify and its ilk are foreign to me. I have 1 HDD and 1 SSD in the box, I disconnected each one of them, one at a time and rebooted, but same result, BSOD everytime.. It is bad enough to get a error message that haults the install process you shouldn't have to figure it out besides. And $30 for RAM is hardly an acceptable expenditure when I'm struggling to find work and keep myself from starving. Stop errors or stops for short have been laughingly called BSOD's or the blue screen of death by Windows users. the message states something like this setup could not continue if this is the first time...........chect for viruses on ur computer......run chkdsk-f....and so on.... his comment is here Anyway to reduce the install retry time from 2-3 hours?

Unfortunately, debugging is beyond what we can do in the forum. Same results. Any one know what 0x87606BA0 part of the error means? FINALLY downloading.
Windows will release the RAM if a program requests it. What diagnostic approaches are avail at this point in installation - can't boot to safe mode - hand in the face saying not during installation2.
