I noticed you tried FN+F1, but that is not the same as just F1. did not enter bios at all or any other option,. It is possible that a power feedback damaged the USB port so try another one. The last one got me to remove and reposition the memory modules and try resetting the system by holding the On button for a minute without the power connected. I'm not doing SOMETHING right, but I don't know what.

If you can, take out your HD and install in 2nd system(friend's?) and get your important data and/or get an ext. My arrow keys don't work, my F keys don't work - nothing. The correct key should be displayed on the start up screens. I would try and see if HP would send me a new Motherboard. When i plugged it back in, it doesn't work at all. In such a situation the light of your Laptop will be turned on but actually it does not boot. I am not sure if it will boot from that disc. First Time Here?
