Have you tried running Live Update until no more are found, and then tried downloading a fresh copy of Firefox from Mozilla ? Been difficult to work with after the first month or two. I've also read EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ when I look at the submitted crash report. Exception Code: 0xc0000374 Hope this helps your troubleshooting...

I just uninstalled the update on a client PC after resetting winsock/tcpip stack didn't resolve. Yes to a fresh copy of Firefox.
